what do i do outside of school? sleep, work and complain

aspirations:


why i chose new media and the u of l? i've always been interested in whats new and current in technology. as for choosing lethbridge, its just far away enough from home that im able to have a new and different life but not so far away that i cant go home when im tired of that life

what goals am i trying to achieve? one day i hope to complete a PhD in psychology but for now my current goals are to achieve good grades and to win the lottery

career aspirations? one day i wish to be a professor of psychology at a respectable university

what i hope to achieve from this course? a broader understanding of media technology, greater knowledge of computer programs... and an A+

existing technical skills:

what level of experience do i have with photoshop, dreamweaver, premiere or other video editing software? i have no experience with any of these programs, however i have used windows movie maker in the past

do i have access to a digital still or video camera? i do not own a digital camera, but i do have access to one

some websites i enjoy or frequent on a regular basis?
  • imdb - the internet movie database (www.imdb.com) - a website where you can find information on almost every television show or movie known to man, as well, you can lookup celebrity bios or get more information on your favorite shows/movies
  • youtube (www.youtube.com) - a website where users may post videos of themselves or others for everyone to see. anyone can join and anyone can upload movies to be viewed by the public
  • armor games (www.armorgames.com) - a website containing hundreds of awesome, free online games to enjoy. there are different genres and games for every skill level. a great place to waste time
  • wikipedia (www.wikipedia.org) - an online encyclopedia written by its users. anyone can go to the site and edit the information contained there. pretty much anything you can think of has a page on wikipedia. the only drawback is that you never know if the information is factual or not, you must take it only at face value
  • yahoo! music (www.music.yahoo.com) - a website created by yahoo! where users can watch almost any music video they want, new or old, from every genre. users are allowed to watch the videos for free and save playlists of their favorites. along with this, the program incorporates suggestions for other videos based on what you have on your playlist.
  • virtual nes (www.virtualnes.com) - a website where users can go and play their favorite nintendo games of the past. this site includes all of the classc games from the nintendo entertainment system. very nostalgic

a self portrait... a double exposure with a digital camera. and it took less than 15 minutes to do?
